Who We Are

At the Darnestown Civic Association (DCA), our mission is to protect, promote, and enhance the quality of life in Darnestown by fostering a strong sense of community, supporting civic participation, and preserving the unique character of our town.

DCA volunteers believe Darnestown works best when everyone has a voice. That’s why we are committed to creating a space where residents can engage, ask questions, and advocate for themselves on the issues that matter most to them.

As a community-focused organization, the DCA generally does not take positions on controversial or divisive issues, allowing us to serve as a neutral and inclusive platform for all perspectives. Our role is to inform, connect, and empower – not to decide for the community, but to help neighbors navigate and engage with the decisions being made.

What We Do

Through community events, resources, and open dialogue, DCA volunteers:

• Connect residents with local officials and decision-makers
• Share timely and relevant information via newsletters, alerts, and meetings
• Host events that build community spirit and celebrate our shared traditions
• Encourage respectful discussion and involvement across a wide range of views
• Welcome and include all neighbors—longtime locals and new arrivals alike
