Can I Apply?

Live in Darnestown – You must reside withing the Darnestown boundaries.
Graduating Senior – You must be accepted into an accredited post-secondary program.
2.5+ GPA – Minimum cumulative high school GPA.
Ready to Tell Your Story – Complete the application, essay and submit your transcript.

- The Scholarship Committee reviews eligible applications blindly, considering academics, activities and the essay.
We Celebrate Our Winners!
- Two students receive $1,000 scholarships and are recognized at our June Town Hall.

Who Was Bruce Deppa?

Bruce Deppa’s dedication to Darnestown spanned more than three decades. He was president of the DCA for 13 years and chairman of the board for another 8, helping to build the DCA into one of the most effective community associations in the county. Bruce served on the DCA Board, led community planning initiatives, and was a champion for preserving the character, open spaces and quality of life we all enjoy today.

This scholarship honors Bruce’s legacy and the spirit of service that continues to make Darnestown such a special place.
